This couple could never have imagined what darkness they would be drawn into by just one act of kindness. This strange young man is not so welcomed by the town and locals lash out against both Richard and the Graves. Then the Graves take Richard Atlee into their lives becoming attached almost like he was the son they never had. They call to have their oil tank filled on their furnace and end up inviting the young man who comes for that chore to dinner. How we treat people and what goes on in certain people minds that make them treat others the way they do.Ĭrawlspace by Herbert Lieberman(published in 1977) is the story about an older, lonely couple, Albert and Alice Graves, who has never had any children, and live a monotonous domestic life. It left me with an odd, unsettling feeling about other people and the world at large. This one I am about to review and discuss here is one that left me feeling weird.
